Access

The canton of Jura is only 40 minutes from Basel International Airport and about 1 hour’s drive from Zurich, Berne or Lucerne. In a few years’ time, the Jura will be even more easily accessible thanks to the A16 motorway which already links Delémont and Porrentruy and which will be extended towards Bienne (to the south) and Belfort (to the north).
When it has been completed, the A16 will form a link between Switzerland and France across the Jura, which will then be strategically situated on a major axis of communication.
The Jura will also soon be connected to the Rhine-Rhône TGV express train, thanks to a new connection for the Bienne-Delémont-Belfort line at the future French railway station of Meroux, only a few kilometres from the Swiss frontier, which will then put the Jura at 2h45 from Paris.
